catadexis_optimal is not safety. HOT (Kitano): enhanced robustness against some perturbations is balanced by extreme fragility elsewhere. The optimum is chosen exposure, not refuge.
Guard the knot, free the fans. A knot change (descriptor schema · transport · claim-tier algebra) breaks every composition; a fan change breaks one.
The capability class is the buffering unit. Two modules, one capability, independent provenance = a genetic buffer. One = single point of fragility.
Echo rule. A receptive port counts only if the behaviour exists in the deployed runtime. What a system should absorb but does not is a gap, never capacity.
